Nurse Items

Here are the svg files I used for the get well package. The nurse hat and syringe. The hat was from a template I found...if anyone knows where it originally came from I would love to give them credit!

DIY freezer tshirt feat. Hello Kitty

I had a friend model it for me to see how it would look cute.

Sororities could definitely diy their own tshirt w/ their letters or a cute saying and put it on a stuffed animal mascot.

Mini altered Notebooks

I got 3 mini composition notebooks for $1 at the dollar tree and wanted to spruce them up a bit. I covered the front and back of them and added some cute images. I love that glitter, it covers my paper very well and looks amazing! Click on picture for a better view!

Retro Phone

I was making this phone while listening to Bobby Vinton singing Lonely....great song by the way. Download here. I'd have this phone over my cell any day.

New cartridges for cricut

So everyone's heard that provocraft is releasing new cartridges and that supposedly some of the new ones will only be available w/ the gypsy. How many of you had the feeling that those new releases were going to be exclusive to the new gadget only? I don't know about you but that's one of the first things that came to my mind when I saw them. I mean they've done it the "exlclusive cartridges" they have w/ Micheals or the shopping shouldn't we already expect it from them? I really didn't care but the thing that got to me was the new Sweethearts cartridge. This is what the Wedding Solutions cartridge should have been in the first place....grr... look at all those cute wedding related images! but who can blame them, right? They need to keep us wanting cartridges or they won't make any money. I'm just saying...the wedding cartridge is not worth it...maybe you should wait until sweethearts comes out.

DIY Card buttons/embellishments

I can't remember why or how exactly I got into polymer clay...the point is I did and I may have bought too much clay over time...but for 99 cents and so many colors I couldn't resist. I'm sad to say my pendants didn't come out too well so I decided to keep it simple and make my own buttons.

-cookie cutters (found in the cake aisle at crafts stores)
-Sculpey/Fimo polymer clay
-sharp cutting tool
-1 or 2 cotton swabs
-acrylic stamp block
-aluminum foil

1. Pick the clay you want and condition it...just play w/ it until it gets softer. Next flatten it..before I had my spaghetti machine I used an acrylic block for this step.
2. Next use the cookie cutter to cut out the shapes you want from the clay and cut your cotton swab in half and poke 2 holes in the poly clay shapes. Now put them on aluminum foil and cover them w/ foil also and bake by following directions on the package. Let them cool for a embellish away!

Let's go golfing.

The golf club has two small pieces so be careful not to lose them. Remember, the bigger the cut the easier it will be to put together.
All of the golf items come in a zip folder, download here.

DIY Mini erase board

Supplies I used

-Cereal box
-adhesive magnets (found at craft stores)
-scrapping paper
-Zig glue and tape
-sheet protectors/transparancies or clear plastic wrap--->works the best in my opinion)

Cut out the shape you want from the box, paper and the sheet protector. Decorate the paper first, try not to make it too bulky since the sheet protector still has to go on top. Try finding some ribbon or brad to secure the sheet protector to the scrapping paper without the tape/adhesive showing up. If you use the clear plastic wrap all you need to do is cut it out and smooth it on top of the scrap paper, the static from the plastic and the paper will automatically keep it together. Glue paper to the shape you cut out from the box and add the magnets on the back. This is just a simple one I made, I'm planning on making others with a contraption for the dry erase marker. Now my cereal boxes have another purpose in life...

Testing 1,2,3

Just making sure these cut nicely. Don't make them too small or they won't cut well and if you are making them small make sure you use thin cardstock.

1920's flapper

Wow...this was fun but frustrating to make. It has 5 pieces and the dress and headband are grouped together as are the head and shoes, hopefully that will make it easier to cut.
Download here

So I think I'm going to start making boy related svg's because there's only so many flowers and glitter you can put on a man's scrapbook So here is my first
one. The buttons on the control are not included, I figured scrappers would have lots of circle scraps laying around or other embellishments they might want to use for the buttons...for example brads or stickers. Download here.

I made a get well package for my significant other. He is sick and we live a few hours apart so I am sending this hoping it puts a smile on his face.

Nurse Penny's hat, syringe, cross and band-aid were all made/retouched on inkscape and cut on scal. If anyone wants the files please leave a comment.

Cutting Fabric

I've cut fabric before but it didn't really cut all the way and/or moved from the cutting mat. This time I prepared the fabric differently and it cut beautifully. Make sure your blade is sharp!

Items Used:
-Heat N Bond Iron-on Adhesive
-Thin fabric

This time I removed the backing off of the heat and bond after it had been ironed on to the fabric, this way it stuck more to the mat and did not move. I also put the blade on 6 and pressure on max. My mat was also semi new because I have only used it a few times since I bought it. Can't wait to make totebags w/ my iron ons! Here are some pics. If you have any questions please leave them on the comments.

I cut a damask letter.....

So I decided to cut a damask letter I had made to see how it turned out. I think it came out pretty but I will definitely be making them much bigger. I used adhesive cardstock for the letter.

So what do you guys think?
