My first penguin...finally got some clothes

This post was my first penguin creation...and I was so excited to share it with everyone I uploaded it to clker.com...now I know better...lol. I have some other files on there that you might like, here is my profile. All of the files on there are free and can be downloaded in svg form.

For some reason when you import this file to scal it says it contains embedded images and fonts and will not be displayed...just click okay and the ornaments should still show up.

NOTE: if you play around with the width of these ornaments on scal you can get different ornament shapes...very cool.

I did this sign with the frame...cut it five times and glued them all together to make it thick like chipboard then I embossed it 4 times...this gives it a very smooth porcelain like finish. I used modpodge to glue everything down.

Advent Calendar box file

Each box is about 1 in and 4 1/2 cm tall and 1 in and 4cm wide. The scut file is saved at these measurements if you want to download it instead of the svg file. I still have to decorate each of the boxes and find out how I'm going to put them on display....

Most of the stuff was either purchased at the dollar tree or hobby lobby (usually with 50% off discounts. My mom wanted to get some pretty centerpieces but they cost about $40 and up so she made her own for less than $20.

No eyes included...I figured you could all just cut 2 circles out from the default font that comes with scal. Remember you can separate this or any other file into more files by copying the parts you want to cut and pasting them on another inkscape file.

Decorating the house with holiday cheer

So I'm making these to hang on the doors of the restrooms or somewhere around the house. They're fun to make but I need to get some mod podge cause my glue was hard to work with.

Snow globe cut...

I cut my snowglobe file and added an acetate circle and snow over it. I was trying to make a snowglobe card like the one over at splitcoaststampers but totally forgot to add the bottom layer...oh well.
