Paintbrush bday card
DragonArtz has amazing vector files and I fell in love w/ one of them. My dad is a painter/carpenter and I thought this paintbrush would be perfect for his birthday card. I love how it turned out, I couldn't really cut out all the small pieces but I still love it. Go check out the WEBSITE!!!.

Holiday Music Instruments
So I downloaded some dingbat fonts but found that when opened them in inkscape they were very hard to use, lots of bumps and dots everywhere. There was this one image that I thought was very cute but no matter what I did to it...it still looked weird to me so I gave up and made my own version from scratch. Download here

Don't forget the dingbats!
Dingbats are fonts for your computer but instead of letters you get pictures. There are a lot of free dingbat fonts out there that you can use with your Cricut and SCAL. You simply download the font you want, install it into your computer and it should show up on scal the next time you use it. One site I love to go to is Dafont.com another one is Abstractfonts.com
They have various fonts including
Christmas
Valentine
Animals/Bugs
Comics
Cartoons
Flourishes
The list goes on. Some dingbats you can just cut right away but with others you may have to tweak if they have layers. (Inkscape is great for this)
[I'm trying to get a camera...so when I do I'll be able to post tutorial videos for you]

Sweet 15 Invitations
I'm trying to give my cousin at least 3 or 4 invitation choices. I made mini invitations for examples. Here are the first two. I'm not sure which one I like the most, the pink polka dot is more fun while the purple w/ black is more elegant....I made the pink polka dot envelope on inkscape and cut it out w/ my cricut. If you want the file click here. If you want more of these wedding type envelopes for download please leave a comment so I can get an idea of what you all would like to see more of.

Looking for Inspiration?
I have never shopped at Two peas in a Bucket...but I do love their warehouse walk videos. Every time I watch one of these videos I'm usually like "oohh...ah! I want one!" while the crafter in me says "oh I can so make that." They always give me ideas for my scrapbook pages and/or svg files. So go check out some of their videos...you might get inspired. Here is their most recent one:
Wedding favor box
If you have read my previous posts you will know that I have a love/hate relationship with the wedding solutions cartridge. Right now I'm in love w/ it because its got cute favor boxes...and since I don't have the Tags, bags, boxes & more...these will have to do.

DIY Garter for scrapbook
1. Cut a piece of scrap paper in half.
2. scrunch them up, make sure each "bump" overlaps the previous one
3. Put tape on the back of each strip to keep the ruffles together
4. Put tape on your ribbon and/or lace and adhere it to the garter
5. Adhere the garter to your scrapbook page!
I didn't have any lace around but it wouldn't definitely add a more realist touch to your garter.
Backpack using splitcoastampers template
This is one of the splitcoast challenges, the directions and print outs are on their website. Go check them out!
All you sorority ladies, this template would be a great little bag to put in goodies for your lil or big sister. You could also put the sorority letters on the front of the backpack like this one.

More clothes
You can make 2 different shirts w/ the same file. It's better to use a sideways x if the shirt is smaller than 5 inches instead of the slashes. Download here.
