Nurse Items

Here are the svg files I used for the get well package. The nurse hat and syringe. The hat was from a template I found...if anyone knows where it originally came from I would love to give them credit!

DIY freezer tshirt feat. Hello Kitty

I had a friend model it for me to see how it would look on...so cute.

Sororities could definitely diy their own tshirt w/ their letters or a cute saying and put it on a stuffed animal mascot.

Mini altered Notebooks

I got 3 mini composition notebooks for $1 at the dollar tree and wanted to spruce them up a bit. I covered the front and back of them and added some cute images. I love that glitter, it covers my paper very well and looks amazing! Click on picture for a better view!

Retro Phone

I was making this phone while listening to Bobby Vinton singing Lonely....great song by the way. Download here. I'd have this phone over my cell any day.

New cartridges for cricut

So everyone's heard that provocraft is releasing new cartridges and that supposedly some of the new ones will only be available w/ the gypsy. How many of you had the feeling that those new releases were going to be exclusive to the new gadget only? I don't know about you but that's one of the first things that came to my mind when I saw them. I mean they've done it before...like the "exlclusive cartridges" they have w/ Micheals or the shopping network..so shouldn't we already expect it from them? I really didn't care but the thing that got to me was the new Sweethearts cartridge. This is what the Wedding Solutions cartridge should have been in the first place....grr... look at all those cute wedding related images! but who can blame them, right? They need to keep us wanting cartridges or they won't make any money. I'm just saying...the wedding cartridge is not worth it...maybe you should wait until sweethearts comes out.

DIY Card buttons/embellishments

I can't remember why or how exactly I got into polymer clay...the point is I did and I may have bought too much clay over time...but for 99 cents and so many colors I couldn't resist. I'm sad to say my pendants didn't come out too well so I decided to keep it simple and make my own buttons.

Supplies:
-cookie cutters (found in the cake aisle at crafts stores)
-Sculpey/Fimo polymer clay
-sharp cutting tool
-oven
-1 or 2 cotton swabs
-acrylic stamp block
-aluminum foil

1. Pick the clay you want and condition it...just play w/ it until it gets softer. Next flatten it..before I had my spaghetti machine I used an acrylic block for this step.
2. Next use the cookie cutter to cut out the shapes you want from the clay and cut your cotton swab in half and poke 2 holes in the poly clay shapes. Now put them on aluminum foil and cover them w/ foil also and bake by following directions on the package. Let them cool for a while...now embellish away!
